After consulting with Grand Forks Emergency Management Director and county officials, we have decided to release the students early today due to hazardous weather conditions, including snow, strong winds, and reduced visibility. Early dismissal will begin at 1:45pm. Please make arrangements to ensure your child arrives home safely. Buses will operate on adjusted schedules, but delays may occur due to road conditions. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Thank you for understanding and cooperation as we navigate these challenging conditions.

4th Grade Science Experiment: Copper Penny Cleaning! 🧪✨ Our 4th graders took on the challenge of cleaning dirty old pennies using six common liquids. They tested the pH of each substance to classify them as acids or bases and made predictions about which one would work best. After some hands-on experimenting, the results are in... 🥁 The winner is KETCHUP! 🍅 Who knew science could be so tasty? Great job, 4th graders! Learning is so much fun when we mix curiosity with a little mess!

Day 2 of The Week of Giving was a true testament to the power of community! 💙 🎉 Elementary guessing jar winner: Everly Reilly 🎉 Middle school winner: Gage Ryan 🎉 High school winner: Jack Hefta 👏 NHS members Maddy Korynta, Elle Brueckner, and Bre Hurt assembled turkey baskets. 👏 FCCLA members Leah Mehling, Brody Boe, and Sadie Armbrust lent their talents to Bingo and counting change jars, with Mia and Shay helping with the guessing jars. 👏 A special shoutout to Barbara Rodriguez, Lillian Hoover, and Lily Dotson for organizing a bake sale with proceeds going to the Teruel family. They had enough donations to last 2 days of bake sales!! Together, we've raised $1,000 for Sox for Kids, so far! Tomorrow marks the final day of this humbling and inspiring week. Let's see if we can make it to $1,500!! It’s truly heartwarming to see so many student organizations and students unite to help those in need. This is the Midway way! 💕 #TheWeekOfGiving #CommunityStrong #MidwayPride
